Early Pattern Visor Cap Skull

Hi,

Can you please tell me if this is an original cap skull or not? both prongs appear to be brass, the obverse of the badge has a yellow gold tint as well.

These are tough to authenticate. I think it's ok but you'd have a better response over on the SS forum. Robin Lumsden will be able to give you a thumbs up or down.
Do the prongs have notches cut on the edges?

HI Guys, Thanks for the responses, I really appreciate how quick and helpful you were. Ben I will take your advice as well by posting the skull in the SS forum, I completly forgot there was one as I try and stay up in the medal section . Thanks again! Tony
