New Luftwaffe Officers Visor

I just picked up this beautiful visor. The sweatband inside is repaired and I was wondering if anyone knows the type of material it is repaired with.

Hallo.
You're sure that the whole schirmmutze is good? I didn't like the sweetband, lining, visor and chinstrap... Looks to me as a modern repro.
It is for private and NCO soldiers, not officers anway.

Only my thought, IMHO Frank.

I have never handled many luft visors. You guys know these better then me, to me the lining feels ok and the material in general, but by all means fire away!

Hey Dion, I have never seen any period Luft's that even came close to this in materials and constrution. IMHO it is a reproduction. I certainly would not be comfortable with it.
