Pretty 'weird' looking one to my untrained eye. Gotta love the 'real' scallop fold downs to keep your audibles warm. Sure could use that SS chin strap. Any RZM markings? Alright, enough wise-azz. I don't know

Somewhere in my reference stuff is something about gold buttons having limited use. What's the piping around the top?

Can't imagine it would be too hard to ascertain what Group it was for.

It's a bit banged up but, hey, that's showing character. Find it an appropriate Adler & make it look presentable.

Early political kepi. 100% original. Looks like it went into the washing machine along with the leather chin strap..however!

Peter, being in ‘sales’ - my explanation would be he just pissed someone ‘high up’ off & was tasked to stand guard duty in front of Brown House, in the rain, for the entire period of the ThirdReich & (being a conspiracy nut) whomever he pissed off made sure the quartermaster never gave him his clothing allowance to upgrade his uniforms/kit for the duration of the war. That said - for ‘marketing purposes’ - it comes from a smoke & pet free home. Rick Costello
