Odd Eagles On Hats

The first soldier has earned the right to wear any kind of eagle he wants.

In the 2nd photo he appears to be wearing a M42 upgrade with a bevo T insignia,many period photos show the addition of a visor hat eagle pinned on top of the eagle by the wearer.
