    its not what i would expect in a war time original ? right now its on e-stand for $2000.00 us

        Trapezoid insignia never goes together with an edelweiss on the side or i may be wrong here, not that i have seen

          Regardless of what insignia would go with one another, the cap IMO is a reproduction. The whole look of it along with the grommets and maker's mark are enough for a pretty safe conclusion to that effect.

            I would have to agree that it appears to be a reproduction cap to me at first glance. I haven't seen that particular reproduction before but I still feel strongly enough that it is a reproduction that I would not buy it.

              The cap itself is not authentic from IIWW, insignia look authentic, not an original WSS GJ cap that is extremely a rare bird.
