In case it disappears here's the guys discretion.

"Herein this auction is a certain 110% Original, and absolutely 110% Guaranteed ALL ORIGINAL LUFTWAFFE OFFICER'S VISOR CAP! VISOR CAP COMPLETE IN FULL WITH ANY AND ALL INSIGNIA/RANK BADGES, INNER LEATHER VISOR BAND, INNER, CORRECT, AND ABSOLUTELY ORIGINAL/AUTHENTIC GERMAN MANUFACTURER/MILITARY PROOFS AS SEEN IN SURROUNDING PHOTOS. This cap is a historical and major collector's piece in World War II Militaria collecting, as-well-as aviation history collectors!
All elements made up within the construction of this WWII Visor Cap are all, ALL ABSOLUTELY 110% ORIGINAL AND AUTHENTIC! GUARANTEED IN FULL!

A very fine example of such a major LUFTWAFFE, or GERMAN AIR FORCE'S UNIFORM CAPS IS THIS PIECE!
The cap is in extremely excellent condition, as are all of its components. There are small, but stable, and insignificant moth holes amidst the cap. Only about three (3) that are noticeable, but all very small. The inner, leather cap lining band, IS in excellent original condition, but feels as id it could 'crumble' if handled unprofessionally. The leather strap that sits above the black leather visor, is, as-well-as the visor, remaining in impressive excellent conditions, and are also stable. The Flying Eagle grasping the Swaztika, the symbol of the German Air Force is equally original/authentic, and correct bearing a zync composition. The lower metal band signifying the rank is also correct, and fabricated from tin, or possibly aluminum.

This cap is a more desired larger head size than ones that you will see available at Military Shops, gun shows, or
anywhere-which are extremely small!!! This cap is one that is of good size, that would fit an average size man's head. However, due to item's authenticity would not recommend its being worn at all, but on a dummy exhibit head. A certain novel, and premium piece for any and all military museums, and or aviation museums.

An excellent example is this particular, German Nazi Luftwaffe Officer's Visor Cap, that I trust will be featured in a book on the subject serving in photograph, as an excellent example in imagery on what to look for, and or expect to see when viewing an original, genuine Luftwaffe Cap as this one.

A beauty in fine, and high profile militaria collecting that is being offered to such purveyor's of W.W.II History only, and not at all to be confused with anything related to the political thought, or sentiment at such time during Germany's period under ADOLF HITLER, and his NAZI THIRD REICH'S control over Germany, and the German peoples during his reign that lead up to W.W.II.

An item in history, and a fine example as such. Not an item being offered as anything else in the promotion of anything but an historical artifact from W.W.II.

I have determined from review of Manion's Auctions that cater to AXIS POWER W.W.II ITEMS, and or, GERMANIA.COM, or even the recent, and rather large auctions in Third Reich historical artifacts at Christies, New York, London, and Los Angeles, have determined that this first bid price this cap is being offered here at this auction, in respects to this item's certain authenticity, overall excellent condition, and the fact that it is COMPLETE!--Inclusive of its proper tags, and stamps/proofs within its inside head liner, all confirm this is an EXTREMELY GOOD DEAL AT THE FIRST BID PRICE, WITH NO RESERVE!

Good luck, and remember, I am always available to address any and all questions on this, or any of my items, but remember the item within this auction, is ONLY being offered for Historical Purposes ONLY.

    Thank you.

This auction has started in recognition of its ending time being convenient for European buyers, and hopefully NOT too late for U.S. Buyers.

<!-- start content -->The German Luftwaffe was one of the most powerful, doctrinally advanced, and battle-experienced air forces in the world when W.W.II started inEurope in September 1939. Officially unveiled in 1935, in violation of the Treaty of Versailles, its purpose was to support Hitler's Blitzkrieg across Europe. The aircraft that were to serve in the Luftwaffe were of a new age and far superior to that of most other nations in the 1930s. Types like the Junkers Ju 87, or Stuka and Messerscmitt BF 109 came to symbolize German aerial might. The Luftwaffe became an essential component in the Blitzkrieg battle plan. Operating as a tactical close support air force, it helped the German armies to conquer the bulk of the European continent in a series of short and decisive campaigns in the first nine months of the war, experiencing its first defeat during the BATTLE OF BRITAIN in 1940 as it could not adapt into a strategic role, lacking heavy Bombers with which to conduct a strategic bombing
Despite this setback the Luftwaffe remained formidable and in June 1941 embarked on Adolf Hitler's quest for an empire in eastern Europe by invading Russia with much initial success. However, the Luftwaffe's stunning victories in the Soviet Union were brought to a halt in the Russian winter of 1942-1943. From then on, it was forced onto the strategic defensive contesting the ever increasing numbers of Soviet aircraft, whilst defending the German homeland and occupied Europe from the growing Allied air forces pounding all aspects of German industry.
Having failed to achieve victory in the Soviet Union in 1941 or 1942, the Luftwaffe was drawn into a war of attrition which extended to North Africa and the Channel Front. The entry of the U.S. into the war and the resurgence of the ROYAL AIR FORCE'S (RAF) offensive power created the Home Front, known as Defense of the Reich operations. The Luftwaffe's strength was slowly eroded and by mid 1944 had virtually disappeared from the skies of Western Europe leaving the German Army to fight without air support. It continued to fight into the last days of the war with revolutionary new aircraft, such as the Messerscmitt ME 262, ME 263, and HEINKEL He 162 even though the war was already hopelessly lost.
Throughout the history of the Third Reich, the Luftwaffe had only two commanders-in-chief. The first was Herman Goring, who was fired by Hitler near the end of the war in Europe on account of his having contacted (western) Allied forces without his authorisation with a view to securing a ceasefire before the Soviets overran Berlin. Hitler appointed Generaloberst Robert Ritter Von Greim as the second (and last) commander-in-chief of the Luftwaffe, concomittant with his promotion to Generalfeldmarschall, the last German officer in World War II to be promoted to the highest rank. Other officers promoted to the second-highest military rank in Germany were Albert Kesselring, Hugo Sperrle, Erhard Milch, and Wolfram Von Richtofen, a cousin of the RED BARON who rose from staff officer in Spain to Air Assault Corps and later Air Fleet commander. Von Richthofen retired in late 1944 on medical grounds and died of a brain tumour while in American captivity at Bad Ischl on July 12, 1945.
Göring and Sperrle were prosecuted at the OKW Trial, one of the Nuremberg Trials after the war. Göring was sentenced to death, while Sperrle was acquitted. Milch was tried in a separate trial and sentenced to a lengthy prison sentence. Kesselring was a witness in the OKW Trial, and was himself sentenced for actions in Italy later."
