This cap is rarer than a WH Panzer--the DDR only used colored waffenfarbe from 1956-59, along with the "roundel" style bullion 3-d cockade. The DDR had fewer Pz troops compared to the Wehrmacht, and as a result, these are infrequently seen. Is it for sale, and if so, how much?

The guy ask a lot of money for it 3000 Euros and I am not going to buy the cap because too much expensive for me . He has the cap since more than a year now and is based in ex East Germany where people does'nt have so much money to spend in militaria...

Perhaps the seller believes it is TR-era?
Even then, 3000 Euros would truly be delusions of grandeur.

No, he knows what he has , he's usally a TR dealer . He says that this kind of cap is more expensive than a TR cap because very rare ...

This is a very rare cap but the price for a early ddr -cap like this is not more than 250 Euros,IMO. Look in Zeige auctionhouse (www.zeige,com ) .He have sometimes caps like yours.

I would gladly pay 250 Euro (even a little more) if I found a cap like this. Pretty darned rare with that pink piping. But the seller has it WAY overpriced. I didn't have any luck finding www.zeige,com but I did with http://www.zeige.com/en/index2.html.
