Hello Patrick,

Please tell your friend that the M 43 superseded the Bergmütze in early 43, that Bergs were not produced in 44, and caps that were produced in 44 were numbered, not maker marked.

Additionally, there is the fact that the insignia, as the cap itself, are reproduction.
