I posted this also in the SS forum, but maybe this is the better place :
Hello friends,
I have a question:
Is there any photographic evidence that the late war dachau made M-43 panzer cap was worn into battle?
what I mean is, was the cap distributed upon the troops in late '44, early '45 or were the germans caught up by the progressing of the war and were all the caps still in stock?
For example, could the cap have been worn by the replacement personel, coming from the KM and LW, for the start of the ardennes offensive?
Thanks,
Nico
