dont think were ganging up on a new member, but, i like the wear inside, however this does not lend itself to the new looking material outside, cant see any sign of a tk , and only a slight one of the eagle,if its real a good price for a cavelry cap, but as we all know, theres more chance of real rocking horse crap coming up for sale, no for me, sorry.

had another look and there isnt even any difference of colour of the yellow under the back of the saddle shape, surely kept from light for 65 yrs there would be some differ from the slightly sun bleached exterior.

Doesn't the fibrous quality of the wool look more like that of a late greatcoat than a circa 1942 SS NCO contract cap ?

            Just thinking aloud.

Interior shows wear signs, but sweatband does not. It is torn in a few places, but there is no sweat marks on it and wear signs on the bottom fold area.

It is a rebuild Heer IMHO. The cap IMO has been relined. Take a look at your stain marks, now match them up to the pleating. As you can see they don’t match up. Only one conclusion. The cap was relined after heavy use.

Just to keep everyone in the picture.

The cap is no longer on the E Stand in case any one looks.

The Polish member who posted it thought he had a problem with his account. In actual fact, his membership was not paid up. So he opened a new association members account under the new user name as seen at the top of this thread. As you know, having two forum accounts is strictly forbidden. His paid membership has now been transfered to his old regular forum user name.
