Felix Weissbach visor

I was curious about Heer Weissbach as a visor maker. How does he rate compared with the more famous makers? My visor is an EM/ NCO ranks Luftwaffe . hat and I would like to know a little of the history of his company if possible. Thanks Charlie

Hallo Cchetzer

FELIX WEISSBACH of GLAUCHAU was a rather prolific maker and used two main types of label, both characterized by the presence of a circle with a stylized eagle (right-oriented head) bearing the words Deutsche Wertarbeit on the chest.

The first pattern had an inscription with the maker's full name and residence below the circle.

The second pattern had the words Fewegla (over) and Erstklassig or Sonderklasse (under) added to the circle.

I have a nice NSDAP Orts visor by them--their Hersteller # is 27--their political visors have some of the nicest sattleforms around. I'll see if I can find a pic on the forum.
