My first German visor, GJ NCO

    Hello all,<O</O
    <O</O
I’ve been hanging around in here for some years now and been reading and learning in order to widen my collecting area to German uniforms & headgear. I’ve bought few nice Waffenrocks from WAF members and next step was a visor cap.
    <O</O
Search was long and I was looking for a GJ cap since there were so many GJ units in Finland… finally I found one in nice shape and with high peak and even id’d (unfortunately for a regiment that was not here but hey, you can’t have it all …)<O</O
    <O</O
Btw, I have to admit that I was bit puzzled about the enthusiasm which some advanced collectors have towards visor caps … but last night, when opening my package and pulling this out from wrappers, I’ve to say that I don’t wonder it all anymore !! It was love at first sight ! <O</O
    <O</O
These are really nice items, only bad thing is that now I need to have more….!

Here are some pics. In natural light this looks even better!

          Thanks !!

And yes, you are correct...completely hooked...

And you can imagine what I've done for the past few hours in the office.... yes... searching the internet for other beauties

And I'd like to get matching Waffenrock for this cap too... not an easy task... but sooner or later....!

Now that visor is one you can just feel. Everything is right and just the right amount of wear too. Beautiful.

Congrats MASteel, beautiful shape and conditions.
Have you bought it to a dealer or a collector?
I think you will be happy with it, because it is not the more easy piping to find in headgear collection!!!!!!!

Thank you, I really appreciate your positive comments

I bought this from German dealer (also forum sponsor) Klaus Butschek and my dealing with him was very smooth so I've nothing but good to say about him.

Btw, was there a internet site about German casualities? It would be nice to know if Josef U. came home from war.

I don't understand. I go regularly on Klaus site, and never saw this beauty.

It seems you were more lucky than me. Again one time, congrats.
                              Sincerely
