I didn't say it was a fake without a doubt. I would have to handle it personnaly to make that call. It just wouldn't be for me based on the photos. That's a different thing entirely.

What do you think about the cap? Did you have concerns before you bought it? If so, why didn't you ask for some opinions first?
There's no point blaming everyone and everything else. No one forced you to buy it.

In any case, if you're not happy, just send it back. We've all had to do that from time to time.

I had this cap in my collection for several times. I showed it to a lot of people who visited my house, some are real specialist!! Never one person told me that this 'could' be a repro.. If one should have told it.. I would never sell it as an original. I hate repro myself and if I know that something is wrong, it goes in the bad box! Also on the estand nobody every made an indication that this could be wrong.

so Robert, if you aren't happy with it, just let me know, and I take it without any problem back!! I don't want that you aren't satisfied. I bought this cap out of an old collection with very nice stuff in it. I never repared the cap by putting insignia on it, I just kept it like it was found.

So please inform me what you like to do and I will follow your instructions, but for me it is still an original cap.

The odds of a "one-looker" M43 "surviving" on Estand for two days are pretty slim with this bunch. Most people are reluctant to critique every questionable item that is offered on Estand unless they have some stake in it. Who hasn't had or seen items that one person accepted as period and others do not? It's part of the hobby.

I think that our very own eStand is the place that we members CAN police. We cannot police dealers, eBay, and other sources, but I think we need to hold the line on eStand. I think we have an obligation to do so.
