Visor Help Needed

I was given this visor cap today by an 88 year old Canadian Army veteran. He brought this back himself from Europe. He indicated that it had a swaztika emblem on the front but that his son removed it many years ago. It had been hanging in his garage and was in really filthy shape. The first thing I noticed was that it had a Canadian broad arrow inside. As I am definately not an expert on German visors I am wondering if it really is German... if so what unit... and why would there be a C broad arrow?

Thanks for the replies.... my gut feeling as soon as I saw it was that it wasn't German....However I've never seen a Canadian visor hat like this.... maybe a cadet corp? I'll post it over on the British page and see if I can get any info there...

Definitely NOT U.S. Marine Corps. With the broad arrow mark, you might try posting it in the British Commwealth section.

Posted this visor on the Commonwealth forum and got a prtetty good ID. Believe it to be a pre RCAF Canadian Airforce visor. These hats had a badge with a design that could easily be confused with a German eagle/swaztika. I'll try and see if the son still has the original badge and that would clear things up. Thanks
