      Ciao Alessio

      I try a conjecture:

      - Till now I've seen (very seldom!) a label showing these peculiarities:
. a triangle with the monogram KM (on the upper side)
. a circle with a capital Z (in the middle)
. the inscription Kassel Kolnische St. 12 in block fonts (on two rows and on
      the lower side)
      - I've never seen the inscription Beste Kutrika Qualitat - Deutsche Wertarbeit
on a Kurt Triebel's visor, but it is sure that this firm used the abbreviation
KUTRIKA and had their residence in Kassel.
      - Consequently, there is a credible chance that mr. ZAPF managed a trade of
military articles in Kassel and also sold , amongst others, visors made by
Triebel or, at any rate, commercially used their characteristics.

            Hersteller Zapf

Indeed, the subject is already older, but maybe it interests somebody and it even more information about the manufacturer appears. Have also a cap and trousers of the manufacturer ZAPF. Translated with a program

I couldn't agree more with that--I just find the pics, but Enore supplies the information--he is the true "unsung hero" of the forum !

Here is another Zapf that I have on my hardrive--the lining looks 100%, but I can't recall the rest of the cap right now or where I saw it:

Werner, thanks for your post--that is the first clear Zapf logo I have seen, and he probably was primarily a tailor. Welcome to the forum

                  Enorepap,
Just confirming your id of Kurt Triebel's (Kutrika) location. Their address was 87 Hohenzollernstrasse in Kassel.

And I would also like to mention Derek, our "Master of the RZM" as our other unsung hero....without his vast resources, we would never have been able to figure out who some of these makers are. All I have are the questions, he has the answers....

Don't forget the KM part being, curtosy of a previous thread by DEREK.

"KM" indicates that the hats were made by the company: "Kasseler Muetzenfabrik" (Schade H.) who were located on Koelnische Strasse 33/35. The two different logos being the uniform distributors who were supplied by this company.

I have a cap with the Big Z and the KM label, I will post it soon as the Z label is colourised.
