This Kepi Appears To Be A Reproduction. I Would Not Expect To Find The Early Pattern Metal Eagle On This Model Hat. Secondly, There Is No R Z M Tag Present. I Also Do Not Care For The Material Used For The Lining. From The Images Posted, I Would Not Want It In My Collection.

it's a 100% fake (very close to an original outside) but...
The lining has nothing to do with an original NSKK "Schaftmütze"
a put together with original period wool cloth, but the lining is realy to difficult to obtain ...

Thanks for your reply, Bob. I agree with you. What I do not like as well is that the kepi itself is in near mint condition, but the eagle looks to be worn. They do not belong together. I have a 7 day inspection time and will return the item to the dealer, who stated this kepi as an original NSKK kepi.
