    Real combat crusher

Here is an example of a real combat vet infantry crusher. If this one could talk?

Mike, thanx, together with these GD straps, this cap is the most hardcore war vet in my collection. All ones sense became aware of the history and exprience in these pieces. You can see feel and smell it. Jacques

I agree, the field used items really 'speak'. Thanks for posting.

Beautiful cap, you're right if it could talk, the stories it could tell.

Great caps Jacques and Mike! I have always loved this style of headgear. Here are my two alterart 'crushers' -- an infantry and an artillery.

Wow, I am seeing all sorts of headgear I don't normally collect that are tugging on my heartstrings! That has to be the saltiest but at the same time most intact crusher I have ever seen--it had to be worn from 39-45 non-stop. What always surprises me is that at first appearance, German visors appear so delicate compared to those of other countries of the period--yet yours shows they can take it just as well, if not better, than those of other countries--great piece...
