Does Anyone have an Erel with these Characteristics?

(Dave and Nick, withhold your opinions/comments until others have had a chance!)

I am posting this hat for a friend, who wants to know if anyone has in their possession an Erel with these characteristics. He bought it in the early 1970's with a "right as rain" tunic, and believes he paid around $25.00 for the same. It is a simple EM/NCO Infantry, with an age-crazed chinstrap. Here is the insignia close up--it is vented:

Another view (I am pulling back the stiffener)--note there is no stirndruckfrei system and note the pasteboard color:

The logo is slightly oversized, and it is impressed onto the EXTERIOR of the s/s:

                        Interesting cap Chris.

I'd like to see more pics, especially full frontal and side shots so we can see what this cap looks like on the outside.

The materials used look WW2 quality, but all in all I don't like it. The sweatshield is the thickest I have seen in a purported to be TR period visor.

I may be wrong but from the evidence shown I say no good.

this is what I see in this cap and I don't like it,the vent hole system or cockade was put in use in 1940 / 41 by this time all sweatshield in military caps has the rhomboid type ,you can only some times see the diamond sweatshield type in non-military visor cap by 1940/41 and are rare ,,and also the diamond sweatshield is precent in military caps but before 1938 by this time is not veted system in any erel visor cap.

Here is what I don’t like about it. Everything!

                            1. Logo I have never seen with print on exterior of shield
                            2. The peak stiffener is not the type I have seen used on any Erel I have ever owned or examined.
                            3. The air hole grommet is missing the cardboard retainer.
                            4. The color and weave of the lining is not consistent with Lubstein visors.
                            5. Pinking shear cut lining!!!!!!!!!!!
                            6. The big red flag with photo. Something blackened the sweatband. The problem is the stitching and pasteboard show no signs of blackening.

Oh, and I agree with Jarkis
