Well, a nice original Allgemeine-SS NCO hat sold on ebay, yeaterday, for $4500. It had incorrect insignia: an early NSDAP visor hat eagle and a pre-RZM jawless skull. I suppose for $1000 to $1200, you could find a nice set of insignia for the hat.

It is a ridiculous price and if you dont think it is then please go to all the sites that have them with original insignias and buy them up right now. Bruce H has a real nice one for around $4700 with real insignias. You cant just inject an opinion that this price is good, boosting it in hopes of a Market price rise without excercising an example to all that you truly feel its a good price by buying the examples that have been sitting and not selling for under $5000.

100% correct. Paul Vondrak had a great one for $4,500, I think it is sold now.

People prefer the RZM marked, labelled visors with the later type insignia for just a little more. It's a bit like choosing a fully loaded car instead of the slightly cheaper version!
