I am not an expert on Schiffchens or m-43's by any means, but it looks good to me--there is a a lot of OT headgear in mint condition today, and I presume a big depot of it was captured by the Americans at the end of the war that was sitting around unissued. Most are on the smaller side (ie, size 55).

Seriously, I am guesstimating $250--most people now days are more interested in Wehrmacht/SS/Police than civil....

Jokka--that price is too high...there just aren't that many collectors who want OT hats, so re-selling it would be very hard to do. If you want an OT piece of headgear, I would go for the Officer's M-43--check the various dealers sites--there is almost always one for sale.
