From those photos I don’t think anyone would be able to give a definitive thumbs up or down. I will say there are a few things regarding the lining and marker mark that peaked my curiosity. A hands on inspection IMO would be the only way to determine authenticity or lake there of. The things that caught my eye were how short the lining is in the front of the cap as opposed to the sides and a maker logo. I have seen caps with maker’s logos on contract linings but only civil visors. The only shields I have seen on army and SS contract caps have been void of a marker mark. Does all this mean anything? Maybe not, nothing can be determined without a hands on.

The first thing to me that looks funny it that very bright piping. Could just be my monitor, though. Like NTZ said a hands on will be needed. Now some of my observations. The liner section at the front of the cap has some very loose creases, the liner hold down thread is not uniform, in that area, either. Can't really see in these pics the front pasteboard section to see if there are some empty holes from past Heer insignia. Would also like to see the cap band. Is it dyed black? How about the band seam? etc, etc... Insignia I know nothing about, but I'm sure others will. I would proceed with caution, in this case, if these are the only pics to go from.

The piping above and below the cap band look rather 'skinny' and uneven, and as Kreager said the they are a very bright pink.

I'm not sure about the insignia either. Not much help really, sorry.....

                      Steve.

The skull is the (in)famous moustache fake of a Deschler skull.
I'd like a better pic of the eagle to be 100% sure, but it doesn't look
good from what I can see.

I agree with Anders: the skull is a fake. Better photos of the eagle are needed.
