I agree with Glenn that sharing knowledge is a double-edged sword... the good guys learn as do the bad guys. That leaves us in a quandry, because the fakes are already too good!! If I can beg forgiveness, I'll tell you about panzer soutaches. The fakers make them baby pink, hot pink, and Sir Elton John pink... but never ROSE pink. If you look at a German waffenfarbe chart, the "pink" is called "rosa" -- or rose. Rose pink is a much different pink than what you see out there, and it's so rare that few really know what it looks like. See below, on my REAL M34 panzer cap (factory converted from original RW specs!). Notice there is a little orange in there (less than the photo shows however)... it's a rich color, not the weak, thin pink you always see. Hope this helps - Mike

i've certainly not been clear enought.
i asked opinions to compare them to my own opinion,
wiewing pics avaible on the link i gave,
and if possible, on 3 particular points (stamp, cockade, soutache).
not to compare the sidecap discussed with another WS stamped sidecap i would have in my collection.
sorry if my poor english leads to this misunderstanding.
so all opinions are welcome, given freely in a gentleman way.
