It certainly is and the thread is titled "Army Crusher/wss???" appropriately I must say. A very interesting looking cap cant wait to hear what the cap experts feel about it.

I wouldn't have much confidence in this cap!

I'll play the "cap expert" today and suggest that the external body may be from an original Heer cap, and that the sweatband might be from an original cap also. Skull fake, of course, and the visor's an artificially aged add-on...am I close, John?

Right on the money The only thing I would add is I don't like the lining either. The weave and the way it is frayed reminds me too much of post war linings, not to mention the imprint.
