Great period photo, thank you, it more or less proves my "theory" that the the T-form insignia is possible.

I stand by what I said this cap is fine, yes the T-Form insignia is unusual. I'm certain it is almost impossible to cut the middle of the lining, machine sew the insignia that good, sew the lining back together and make it look like it was done from the inside and the while lining up the stamp. Being that it is dated 1943, the year this cap was introduced after the relatively short lived issue of the impractical M42 with it's T-form insignia, I would presume these were used until exhausted at this particular factory. Just out of curiosity how much is this cap going for?
