What is it? (Student, HJ, some early SS?)

Not a clue but hoping you folks can enlighten me. As you cn see, a black velvet band & black piping. What was once a white cordoroy material has aged to almost a light brown. There appears an 'impression' of a half inch circular device that whould've been on the front of the band and two pins holes remaining where a badge or pin was once on the front of the peak.

Last piping shot - so, what is it? Then there's how to rebadge it back to whatever the heck it was supposed to be. Hopefully someone might know what the correct insignia might be such that I might make it look complete again.

Looking forward to your views. I'll check back at the next feeding...

The impression of the badge on the former white cloth looks like a musicians´ lyra, so could be any kind of a band-members´ cap. I say civilian.
