    Not a crusher at all. Your best bet is to carefully remove the insignia and start shopping for the proper metal insignia that belongs on this cap. You'll need the officer cap cord and silver buttons too. If there was a person on the WAF that restored visors for a fee... I'd send it to him.

          I don’t know what everyone is talking about it is a crusher. Someone crushed it didn’t they? All kidding aside I don't know what it is but it is not right.

            Let me throw this thought out...

            Although this one doesn't look period done to me, some regular visor caps were converted to look like an Alter Art crushers during the war. Before you go ripping insignia off this cap to restore it, you might want to give some consideration to that possibility.

              The cap itself is good it is a late war Schellenberg. The insignia I have stong doubts on. Here is a pic of a late war Schellenberg.
