    Quiz!

This is probably too easy (and if you already know it, you can't play--give our newer members a chance!) but name the address of this place, and guess what the building was once named:

Good work, guys--it is the "Mecca" of our hobby--if I make it to Berlin, it will be tops on my list of places to visit. (Jacques, I like the Steiff analogy!)

PS-- I still can't believe that the building survived the bombings and Battle of Berlin intact....

Okay, here is another one. Not a quiz but also a nice and very rare cap company. The company is also today at muenchen, but they didn't produce cloths.

                    Company: Gustav Ascheneller, Muenchen.

I spoke 2 years ago with the son from the man on the left side about his fathers company but he could not give me some interesting information.

The picture is taken in about 1935.

                    Best,

I wonder if any of the contractors found any caps parts or literature whilst they were renovating that building ?... Im sure it would be long gone by now.

FMS, the building was used by "Emhage" and then later became "VEB 1856", and they continued to make hats there up until at least 1989, if not shortly thereafter.

I would have to believe all the TR stuff was gone when Erel was collectivized in 1950.
