Probably a waste to post this, but it would be a shame for anyone to take away from this thread the idea that just because a piece came from N&T, it had to be automatically bad.

Good evening Leroy, I posted all that I have on file which I feel 99.99% certain were N&T offerings. I collected the images to study and use as a baseline for IF I ever ended up in the situation where I needed to identify these exotica.
As I recall almost all of the caps on the site were top-end and also as has been said he basically offered to make anything you asked for It's equivalent nowadays would be Oakleaf Militaria ... some better versed with caps than myself have speculated that there's more than a tiny bit of N&T in Oakleaf.
As I'm sure you realise YOU have to be empowered by your OWN knowledge and not rely on those who would steal the breath from your lungs while smiling to your face.

Ian
I'm just thinking that if even ONE of the caps pictured is real, and is in someone's collection today, it would be a sad thing to "tar and feather" it along with the others.

Leroy--
No, not all the caps are fakes--the Bergbau, Post, LW Fliegerhorstfeuerwehr, and early Customs visors that Ian posted appear legit.
As I do not collect Schiffchens and M-43's, I won't speak to those.
However, most of the high-end visors are bogus heavyweight fakes.

I had at some items which I know were/are good as they showed up around here after the fact, some embellished up to something else too! They might have been messed with and restored like two M36 Officers tunics I had (one was named to a Pohl from a Vienna tailor), or totally good like one item Bill Shea or Peter Whammond have ended up with now but still not all were bad. However some items which were clearly made yesterday and now easily identifiable to me, well that is a different story! I don't know what the guy actually knew or didn't know, but some of these items were clearly made yesterday that's what gets me thinking! What did he actually know...
1) SS M37 EM "SD" Tunic with a white collar liner piece and a period modified cream colored liner. Total Janke.
2) SS M43 Cap, with metal dish button. Total Janke.
3) SS "Crusher Visor", with green band, HEER!
4) SS Tropical side cap, Janke made yesterday.
5) SS Italian camo M43 cap...janke
6) SS Dot 44 M43 cap...janke
7) Well worn SS M42 Tunic.....NCO piping...Heer!
8) SS Fur cap, with fake SS BW stamp.
Lucky I did not go near the 12th SS Leather panzer wrap, or the 12th SS U Boat set with the Leather M43 cap, or the Bluish Brandenburg coveralls. I had also "traded" this guy towards the fake SS M43 cap and a stripped SS Officers tunic (which ive also seen after on here restored) a HEER M36 officers tunic with silver close combat badge, which was held in place by some kind of elastic through holes drilled through the bade, and a visor cap. The Tunic was Infantry and numbered to the 9th regiment and had an EK ribbon and an eastern front ribbon which I think was added under the EK ribbon. He had said that the Cap was bad because the visor cord was a replacement, totally crap but i wanted the SS Tunic, that HEER uniform came back with a war veteran! Apart from what i've obviously lost, He even has items belonging to people still, including 2 from me, if i recall an SS Fez and a British Leather flying cap from WW1.

Honestly when you are uneducated you are totally open!...........
I would absolutely love to see photos of the 12th SS Leather "recce" wrapper ensemble and the 12th SS U boat set, with the leather hat with the bullion insignia! Or the Nordland Tunic M40, maybe the Brandenburg coveralls and black hat too!
