You're right !
As said cap is OK, but seems a restored one, the chinstrap in this matter (leather) was more used on the early caps.
This cap (1936/45) should have an "ersatz" RZM marked one, this chinstrap could be a WSS chinstrap or even a DAF, they were exactly the same...
I don't like the skull at all (odd shape, orbits, nose hole) very bad feeling, but I'm not a SS insignia specialist.
I'm pratically sure that the eagle is not good, too poor details on the wings and head.
To be sure we have to ask our SS insignias experts.
