Advice Needed.

I am a newbie to the forum.

I bought this Nazi Veterans Cap today and needed some advice on whether it is genuine as it seems in Mint condition.

I have taken some photo's and listed them below.
(Sorry for the quality, my camera is useless)

Did you do a forum search before you bought? These visors are still being made. I can not see the band around the visor from these pictures. If there are swastikas alternaing with the memorial and the iron crosses it is pre 45. If there are no swastikas on the band, it is post war.I hope this helps.

The posted hat is original Pre May 8, 1945 hat.

I also noticed that it doesnt have a chin strap and also it has an edelwiess on the side.

I paid £125.00 for it which is probably a bit much but it is in mint condition.

Its real and its rare to find these in mint condition--most seem to have been used, misused and abused. Is that an Austrian traditions badge on the side, and if so, can you post a close-up?
