Nice example, isn't that the "big skull" version insignia?

Is it French made? based on the typical round maker stamp and black sweatband... Is the stamp readable? Nice cap! Nick

Hi Nick, in an old thread on the forum about Fez's a few years ago we had a discussion about black sweatbands with these style of markings. I think it was determinded that they failed from Yugoslavia.

Hi Ron, nice Fez. I keep meaning to buy one of these someday.

              Cheers, Ade.

OK that makes sense Yugoslavia, their homeland, but the stamp looked typical French and Handschar was based in France (ugly mutiny incident) for a while during their formation and training period, where uniform issuance would be expected and perhaps also locally contracted? Just a thought... Thanks Nick
