This is very good advice and I agree 100% but it is also important to keep in mind that there is more than one style of original stamp for this cap maker.

This is 100% true. This was first a rather small firm but exploded in size around 1940 and got contracted making caps for the Afrikakorps among other.
So offcourse they made many different stamps over the years. But still I (as a novice collector) only find 1 stamping that (I!) feel 100% confertable with.

No mather of wich year the cap was made it's the position of the year and size that counts for me... And offcourse the overall look of the stamp...

In the end it's up to one and hi's own to set the standards what you feel confortable with. This is only my observations.

Frank very nice grommet/crimping, would love to see the rest of that cap!
And for the other posted grommet's/crimping's posted I wouldent spend my money on that caps.

      Once again only my opinion.

      Best regards: Hasse Marnell

Officers were not issued uniforms and headgear, other than steel helmets. Officer had a uniform allowance and had to purchase their own uniforms and headgear. Sorry, there is no such thing as officer issue uniforms and headgear.

An officer could buy issue type enlisted garments and headgear, having his officer insignia applied.

Matching condition inside and out. 100% original insignias. Textbook grommet/crimping.
And there is a small detail about the stamp that makes me beleive in this cap to 100%.

Very, very nice original cap Frank, I would love to own it myself.

                Best regards!
