Excuse me if this cap has already been discussed, but isn't this a $5000 Alteste? I'd rather not say what site this is on, but I think many of us already know. It would be one heckuva bargain if original, would it not ? Opinions?

"This is an extremely rare all-original Waffen-SS General Officer Uniform Silver Bullion Piped Visor Hat
It has the skull and eagle emblems, silver bullion piping, thick silk chin cords, and black velvet band present and intact, as can be seen from a close-up of the front. There is a small hole apparent in the cover.

Here is a view of the inside, showing some signs of routine service wear to the sweat band and liner.

The overall condition is very good throughout, except as noted above."
