    Would really like to get some opinions and comments from our learned members on this Police M43 Cap.

                          Hi Ron,

                          Cap doesn't look wartime to me.

                          A few things:
                          - Polizei M43 caps do not have colored piping along the crown (Officers were allowed silver piping (gold for generals) but NCO did not have piping in branchcolor
                          Piping in Branchcolor was allowed on police visored fieldcaps from before the introductiondate of the M43. So the Polizei Bergm******252;tze/Winterm******252;tze/Skim******252;tze were allowed to have piping in respective branchcolor. These caps can be identified by their single-button closure in stead of the 2-button M43

                          - The mark "Hessische Polizei" should not be in a wartime cap

                          - Also I am not fond of the partial sweatband. I just opened a topic on this very subject
