Stone..(and everyone else) based on your experience, have you heard of a distinction regarding originality ie the COLOR of the diamond stamp....black / brown ?

Dave--what I look for on these is the heavily-pleated lining on the rear. Every one I have seen (that is real) has an Alkor SB. I think the Janke fakes are all black logos--they have been using this logo for years--the originals I have seen have black logos, but I wouldn't rule out a brown if it had the standard characteristics.

Thanks everyone for the reply's, I hoped when I had gotten a Infantry officer visor that it would be it such good shape, I kinda resigned myself to maybe having to get a beater or salty one... sometimes perserverence pays off... everyone have a good weekend.
