One of the reasons I am asking is this comment, I came across in an old thread, made by Dave Kane, re Pekuro caps --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nick, it's no contest whatsoever when it comes to Pekuro (made) caps. They are distinct in construction, shape, form and profile. Couple that with materials used and manner of manufacture....who could possibly argue what is and isn't!

Cap collectors along with all (collectors of whatever) need to study and understand the neuances and small details of their chosen mania!

I'm no Pek******252;ro "expert". But aside from the logo in the sweatshield, it is the velvet insert between the leather sweatband and the cap band as well as the distinctive hole pattern in the sweatband itself that I want to see on a true Pek******252;ro visor. Both of these features are present on the cap you purchased.

I understand there may be some distinctive traits to the exterior shape and fittings, but I'd have to leave that to the "true" Pek******252;ro experts.

I was about to say that I've seen that distributor mark before, when I suddenly realized that I used to own this cap - sold it in January 2006 to "Lothringen"; a very, very nice cap - quintessentially Pekuros.

Two more things that make Pekuro’s stand out from other makers. Metal peak stiffeners and ribbed linings. Nice cap by the way.

Guys, thank you for the information and also a bit of history on this cap. I believe the cloth headgear forum to be the most constructive forum for discussion and learning on the WA. Jacques

Something additionally nice about this visor is the Paul Kaps style thin stick man swastika on the bullion eagle. A quirk, but fabulous.

                Great Panzer Pekuro
