Choice Schupo Officers by Erels #1 competitor--I think this is the first Officer's by Romer that I can recall seeing--interesting that they used a twill gabardine on theirs. Does it have the metal slides on the inside of the screen vents?

You know, looking at this again it almost looks exactly like my Erel Officers (with the exception of the wool). I wonder if Romer made Tschako's for Erel, and Erel simply slapped their logo on it? I have seen a very early logo that had both Romer and Erel on it--a side by side would be the only way to tell--anyone else have any ideas?

Yes....but I have only had one officer's, and hadn't looked inside it for years. The sliders on both sides will move to block the front vent on each side only. You can have both vents on each sides with air flow, or one on each side with air flow.........you can't block both on each side.
