    Freudemann Panzer WH Officer's Visor

    Gents:

I have sold a lot of my WH visors to focus on Civil/Political (and even sold my prized Halfar to Eric!).
However, I have always lusted after this visor, ever since my fellow "Zonie" ( a derogatory term given to us Arizonans by Californians!)
Marc Walker first posted this gem on the Forum sometime ago. Well, he just sold it to me, and for that I am eternally grateful to him--imho, it has the best shape of any Pz visor I have ever seen, and the most "electric pink" piping I have seen as well:

I am 100% sure that it is a late-war Schellenberg retailed by Erwin Freudemann--it has the same quality late-war wool I have seen in other Schellenbergs. Check out the "peak like Mt. Everest" on this baby:

The bullion work is typical to late-war Schellenbergs--not the greatest:

Marc is a much better photographer than I (but who isn't)--note the "Dubl-Thick" piping on all 3 rings:

The chincords are my favorite style--"rope-thick", and are the thickest of all my visors. Marc pointed out to me when I first saw this at his house that the cords are still sewn together, just the way they left the factory:

Note that the visor is the thin Vulcanfiber w/o the crosshatching. In keeping with the late-war time period, there is no Stirndruckfrei system, and the sb is Alkor:

And this is the picture that Marc posted sometime ago which started me lusting after this beauty:

One more of Marc's fotos--I forgot to point out that the field-gray is somewhat darker than normal, which really sets off the "rivers o' pink":

                        A very good looking cap!

And, it demonstrates what was asserted on another Forum regarding manufacturers etc!
                        Regards,

I think Marc and I already compared visors. This is with out a doubt a late war Schellenberg. Here is the proof. IMO my visor has had the sweatband and visor replaced from its original pressed paper. Since it is mint I don’t know why. The work is perfect so maybe it was period done I don’t know.

The reason I know mine was replaced, a Vogle sweatband.
