    Visor Wreath?

    Hi All,

I have this wreath and am not sure what type of visor wreath its this? Is it a General's visor wreath or Kriegsmarine visor wreath?

    Thanks in advance!

Dark Blue backing, I would hazard a guess at Kreisgmarine.

      Hi,

I am not sure if it makes a difrence but the backing is black.

I would have thought coastal artillery, but the black backing is throwing me right now. I believe the cockade is a replacement, given the lack of age in comparison with the wreath. Let me rack my brains for a while and I'll see what I can come up with.

Hello, the backing to the front of the wreath may be black, but I was refering to the backing on the back, which is a light blue.

It is possible, if you look really closely, that the stuff at the front of the wreath behind the bullion work, is actually very dark "navy" blue, not black. That is what I think it is.

IMHO could be a SA-Marine wreath with lost SA rosette, replaced with a national cockade...
The oak leaves don't go up so high as on the "Kriegsmarine" wreath...

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.
