    Jager OS cap on e-stand

I am interested in the following Officers schiftmutze that is for sale on the e-stand. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...25#post2042125 The cap looks o.k. to me. Constructed from fabric with what seems to be more coarse than what I am used to for officer. (late war material? ) Any comments would be welcome, the seller is ok with me posting the cap. Jacques

I've had a really long look at this cap because something doesn't seem right at all. The exterior wool has worn right down to the weave almost everywhere yet the interior is drop dead mint, including the partial sweatband which looks totaly unworn and quite stiff. Look how it's popped the stitching at the front fold. Also, the leather itself looks to have been crudely cut to shape. The insignia bothers me too, it's also too fresh looking for the rest of the exterior. The eagle has been stitched on at an angle and stretched as well, or it could just be the photo. Just my observations.

                  Hi

I looked at this with interest and also came to the conclsion nice worn cap that has been rebuilt . If you can acept that then its no shame.

Im not sure if the metal insignia is real as i am no expert on this badge.

The exterior part of the material has not sign of been worn by the use is only old material and probably the interior is stone mint because was always folded.

                    Just my two cents

It seems alright, but an in-hand inspection would be able to shed some light.
