    hj winter cap

    hi all
    spotted this for sale seller is 100% sure its genuine butits unlike any winter cap i have seen am i correct in thinking this is a postwar hat with a hj badge to make it look earlier

          Having only owned 1 of these during my collecting career, Gerard can speak to these better than I can. What you want in a winter cap is an HJ/DJ RZM tag, and I look for an RZM stamping on the buckle. These ones with the trim to the visor are always (in my experience) strictly postwar.

          You will see them being worn often by youths in pics from the 46-55 era.
