I am certainly not an expert, but here's two things I notice. I thought tropical caps generally had red linings and they usually had sweatbands. Gerard has a really minty one on his site right now for comparison. Just my observations...

This is a Navy hat and normally would have a green lining. Looks like a good cap.

Yes a nice KM Afrika cap Green linings = KM Red = WH

I believe a lot of KM tropical caps were made in France and do not necesarily have green linings. I would agree the German made ones do of course...

Hi Guys,

I found this cap about 8 years ago in Hungary!
It cames from a house where two German soldier live for several weeks.

I think they got new uniforms (winter) in Budapest!

But I dont now...

Why they left it...
