Gentlemen,
Today a friend asked and received my opinion about the cap pictured here. It seems to me a textboox example with desirable shape and in excellent condition. I see no evidence that the insignia has ever been changed. I did expect to see a cloth RZM tag inside the liner but can find no indication of such a tag ever having been present.
The story about the cap is that it came from a U.S. veteran in Montgomery Alabama in the early 1980s, having been owned by a firearms collector and then my friend since that time.
I suggested that images be posted for opinions from forum members more knowledgeable than myself about a) state of originality and b) current value. My friend intends to sell the cap.
Thank you in advance for your comments!
