    Allgemeine-SS Visor

    Hello
I would like to get some opinions on this visor from some of the more experienced members. I am still in the learning phase. It seems like walking thru a minefield with these visors, trying to determine the good from the bad.

    thanks in advance

            Replaced skull or eagle OK?

I think that this visor looks really good, but it brings up a question I've had about the description of these online - replaced skulls or eagles don't seem to be a negative as long as they are genuine. Is this because this was a common practice during the period?

I prefer 'un-messed with', originals but on occassion the TK and Adler got replaced, as long as they are original and period replacements (the BIG question!) I have no problem with it. How do you determine 100% they were period replaced?! I dont know. but if you are the Buyer and happy does it matter?

                Hello
Thanks for the replies. I thought that it looked good but I still wanted some second opinions.
                thanks

Of course, anything from Bill Shea is probably OK. There were many possible insignia combinations on these hats during the early years (including SA eagles). Personally, I would like a better-matched combination than shown.
