Sorry it took so long Chris. Cap has some wear and a little damage, but I have the feeling it has been there.

Thanks JT--it is nice to see a real one after all the bad ones that have been posted of late--you have satiated my desires for the day!

It is a very nice cap. I would like to add one comment and if Thomas wants to he can add a photo or two. There is NO VISABLE STITCHING on the cap base. Nor will you find it very often on untouched visors. For those looking at SS or Generals rank visors this should be the first thing you are looking for.

Thanks for the comments chaps, I will dig the cap out again in the early part of this week and take those shots that NTZ requested at the base.

I also have an SS General's visor by this maker that looks identical in shape, just the colour being the SS shade and the velvet band etc.

This SS General has the air vent grommit which vents through the skull. Nick if you still have those pics I emailed to you of it, please post them, they show in closeup detail the construction of the cap. If you post them, I will then post similar style pics to my Heer General's.
