Please, I need some information about this visor, because I was not
able to recognize the maker.

I have noticed something strange with the stitch of the sweatband
to the visor.......




I have also noticed that the chinstraps have a metal core......

First off welcome to the Forum, Nice to have you here.

OK about this cap. Well to me this looks like a reproduction. This one looks like the Latvian fakes that are all over the place now days. Take a look at the piping, very cord like and look at the edges where the piping comes together. This overlap is a tall tell sign unfortunitily. I would still like to hear what others have to say, but I don't like this piece, sorry, I hope I'm wrong.

Original BUT repaired/restored....

The piping, although not seen often is period. The late war 'washed wool' belies the bullion cocade and leather sweatband. Likely the moths got to the lower portion of the cap frame causing a replacement sweatband to be attached and possibly even the visor.

Would you mind posting the MVSN cap in the background on this thread? I have always admired those caps--someone needs to write a good book on them.
