I Am Always Suspicious Of Kepis That Do Not Have The Standard Plain Black Cloth Linng. Good Reproduction Kepis With The Runes In The Top Have Been Around For At Least 20 Years. I Believe They Originally Came From A Source In France. It Is Certainly Possible That Later Examples Did Exist With The Runes In The Top Similar To The Visor Caps. However, I Would Also Expect To Find An Original R Z M Tag In The Hat. I Cannot Venture An Opinion Either Way On This Cap Without A Hands On.
