Good pass! Just remember everyone that Muller did NOT mark thier logo on the shield but on the lining. 95% of these Muller fakes have the shield marked.

He is correct, but there are certain things about the font and typeset of the Muller logos as well--look at the size of the "dots" on the repro compared to the real, for example.

Thanks guys. This thread just put to rest my concerns over a Generals cap I passed on a few years ago. It too was a Muller. It was so good that to this day I always wondered just a little if I missed out on a good cap. Thanks to much appreciated help from Dave Kane, I had passed on it. Glad I did.

Here is a picture of the shield and makers mark on the one I passed on...

John, it wasn't the 'logo' alone but the entire CONSTRUCTION of the cap and the APPEARANCE of the insignia...

That faux General cap would make for a great discussion today if you are at liberty...
