          Thanks for all the pics and the detailed explanations guys

          I was not too much into those civil caps and learned something today.

          Those officer visors look awefull, many thanks for sharing them.

          Is the chincord on my cap for Landzoll ? All the forestry caps I have seen have the common silver cord ?

            Definitely an early Staatsforstdienst cap; as an early cap, it would have had a kokarde (not a laubkranz until 1938) and a goldgelb Hoheitsadler der Partei.

            Here's a photo of the one I had - I never did find the correct eagle... and the chin cord on my one was incorrect.

                PS, you asked about the chin cord - the early cap would have had either gold grundurchwirkt oder grun golddurchwirkt Golddraht und Kunstseide.
