    Heer chaplain officers visor

A couple of years ago I bought a Heer chaplain's officer visor. I was interested because up until that time I had never seen one. Since then I have only seen 2 others offered for sale. Unfortunately I don't have pictures right now. But in general, how rare is this visor. Someone said that it might be rarer than an SS NCO?

I would say definitely rarer than an SS NCO's black visor and probably a grey one as well.

Outside of a summer alg SS it is probably one of the rarest. Propaganda and penal are in there too. I will say 99% of the ones I have seen out there were nothing more than dark piped medical with added crosses.

I think the piping on that one needs to be looked at closer. (They all do). A crusher is not what I would expect a chaplain to wear. JMOPO.

Check out Woody Allen's doppelganger in the Brian L. Davis book (also in the 'lookalike' thread in 'Die Kneipe')

Mine has some fading to the front where the sun hit it. The cross looks like it has been there forever with the darker fabric behind the cross & darker piping in the back & protected area. Nice saddle shape also.

I've seen pics of a chaplain crusher. That crusher belongs to Chris Liontas. He is still around on the forum.
                      Here my cap.
Also a link with more chaplain visors and a chaplain M38.
